About rubber flooring
A softer, safer surface where people play, swim and train.
Rubber flooring is made from bonded rubber granules or pressed rubber tiles. It grips well underfoot, absorbs impact and copes with heavy use indoors and out, which is why it is used under play equipment, around pools, in home gyms and garages, and on sports areas.
We lay wetpour safety surfacing, poured in place as one continuous surface, and rubber tiles and matting for gyms, garages and commercial spaces. Colours, patterns and thicknesses are chosen to suit the space, and for play areas the depth is matched to the fall height of the equipment.
Many of the products we use are made from recycled rubber, so a new surface can give old tyres a second life.

How we install it
How we install rubber flooring.
Every job starts with the ground. A rubber surface is only as good as the base it sits on.
Survey and product choice
Free visit. We look at the area, how it will be used and the ground underneath, then recommend wetpour, tiles or matting and put a fixed quote in writing.
Ground preparation
The existing surface is checked or lifted and a firm base laid: compacted stone with tarmac or concrete outside, a level, dry floor inside.
Laying
Wetpour is mixed on site and trowelled in place, with a shock-absorbing base layer under a coloured top layer where needed. Tiles and matting are cut to fit and bonded down.
Curing and handover
The surface is left to cure, edges are checked and finished, and we talk you through cleaning and care.

FAQ
Common questions
What types of rubber flooring do you install?
Wetpour safety surfacing for play areas, slip-resistant surfacing around pools, rubber matting for gyms and garages, and rubber tiles for commercial and sports spaces. At the free survey we look at the area and recommend the right product for how it will be used.
How long does rubber flooring last?
Laid properly and looked after, rubber flooring typically lasts 10 to 20 years. How long depends on the product, how much use it gets and how exposed it is to the weather.
Is rubber flooring safe for children's play areas?
Yes, it is one of the most common surfaces under play equipment. Wetpour and rubber tiles cushion falls, and for play areas the thickness is matched to the fall height of the equipment, in line with BS EN 1177. The surface also keeps its grip when wet.
Can rubber flooring go outside?
Yes. Wetpour is made for outdoor use and drains through its surface, so water does not sit on top. It copes with frost and sun, and the colour runs right through the top layer.
How do I clean and maintain rubber flooring?
Sweep or hose it down to clear dirt and leaves. Indoor floors can be mopped with a mild detergent. Avoid petrol-based solvents and harsh chemicals, which can damage the rubber. Outdoor wetpour may need an occasional moss and algae treatment.
