Tyres can leave dirt or visible marks on a resin bound driveway, particularly where a vehicle repeatedly turns in the same place. A mark does not automatically mean the surface has failed. Start by identifying whether it is contamination on the surface or a change in the material itself.
Check the driving pattern
Notice where the marks occur. They may follow tight steering movements, a frequently used parking position or a vehicle carrying dirt from elsewhere. Avoid unnecessary stationary steering where practical, and follow any particular early-use instructions given for the new surface.
Make sure the driveway has been released for vehicle use before parking. A surface that feels firm under a shoe is not necessarily ready for vehicle loading. The manufacturer's system and curing conditions determine the relevant guidance.
Clean gently and specifically
Use the installed supplier's recommendations for tyre marks and general dirt. Test any approved cleaner in a less visible area. An unapproved solvent or very aggressive pressure washing may create a larger appearance problem than the original mark.
If aggregate is loosening, the texture is changing or the area appears soft, arrange an inspection. Those observations need a different response from a superficial dirty track. Take photographs before trying several products, as treatments can complicate diagnosis.
Choose colour with normal use in mind
A pale blend can look excellent beside a house, but it may make some daily marks more noticeable. A darker or mixed blend offers a different appearance, not a promise that cleaning will never be needed. Physical samples help set more realistic expectations.
Where one vehicle repeatedly leaks or brings contamination onto the surface, deal with that source too. Maintenance works best when the cause of recurring marks is understood.
Quick check: Is the mark sitting on an otherwise sound surface, or has the surface itself changed? Describe that distinction when requesting advice.
