Resin bound surfacing still benefits from routine care. Leaves, soil and spills do not disappear simply because the finish is described as low maintenance. Begin with regular sweeping and gentle cleaning, then use the installed system's instructions for any more specific treatment.
Remove loose material early
Clear leaves and garden debris before they form a persistent layer. Take extra care near planting, where soil can wash across the edge. Keeping the surface open and clean is particularly useful where the driveway is intended to form part of a permeable construction.
Inspect the surface while sweeping. Loose aggregate, local lifting or a recurring wet area may need investigation rather than more vigorous cleaning. A change in condition is easier to explain if it has been noticed early.
Match the cleaning method to the system
A suitable hose rinse or carefully controlled pressure wash may be appropriate under the supplier's guidance. Do not assume an aggressive jet at close range is safe. Test an inconspicuous area and stop if the surface begins to lose material.
For a spill, identify the substance before choosing a product. Avoid unapproved solvents and cleaners that could affect the resin or adjacent materials. Follow the cleaning-product label and consider where the wash water will go.
Look for the cause of recurring dirt
Soil spilling from a raised border, a leaking vehicle or a shaded pile of leaves can repeatedly spoil an otherwise sound surface. Changing the source of the problem may be more effective than increasing the intensity of cleaning.
Keep the original blend, resin system and care notes available. Advice for a different supplier's product or a resin bonded surface may not transfer directly to your driveway.
Simple routine: Sweep, inspect and gently clean when needed. Ask the installer about persistent stains or deterioration before trying a stronger treatment across the whole surface.
